Privacy Policy

Our Commitment

Purna Web Agency Inc. (“Purna Web”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, security and accuracy of the personal information we collect, use and disclose. This Privacy Policy sets out the principles we work by across purnaweb.ca, the landing pages and websites we build, the forms and chat widgets we operate, and the tracking phone numbers we manage.

Our privacy practices comply with all applicable Canadian federal and provincial privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL), as well as the United States state privacy regulations that apply to the work we do, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA.

1. What We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes or could reasonably be linked with an identifiable individual (“personal information”). It reaches us three ways: directly from you, automatically as you interact with our sites, and through the lead-generation campaigns we run for our clients.

Contact information

Your name, email address, phone number, business name and mailing or business address.

Business and project information

What you tell us about your business when you enquire, book a strategy session or respond to a survey: your industry, your goals, your marketing budget range, the services you are interested in, and how you found us.

Digital and device data

IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page and other browsing activity, collected through cookies and similar technologies when you visit purnaweb.ca or a site we host.

Call and message records

Where we display a tracking phone number on our site or on a landing page we built, we collect call metadata, and calls may be recorded and transcribed. We also retain text-message and chat conversations you have with us.

Form, chat and booking submissions

Everything you enter into a Purna Web contact form, quote request, audit request, chat widget or calendar booking, including any free-text message you write.

Site search logs

Words and phrases entered into search functions on our site. We use these in aggregate to work out what people came looking for and could not find.

2. How We Use and Share It

We use your personal information to answer your enquiry, deliver the services you have asked for, send you information you have agreed to receive, improve how our sites and campaigns perform, and meet our legal obligations. We share it only in the circumstances set out below.

(a) Leads generated for our clients

Purna Web builds and manages websites, landing pages and paid search campaigns that generate enquiries for our clients. If you submit your information through a form or landing page we built for another business, you are consenting to that information being passed directly to that specific business so they can respond to your request. It goes to them and to nobody else.

(b) Call tracking and recording

We use call tracking to measure which campaigns produce real conversations, and to improve the quality of ours. Calls placed to a tracking number we manage may be recorded, transcribed, summarised and scored for quality, training and reporting purposes. By calling one of these numbers, you consent to that recording and transcription. If you would rather not be recorded, say so at the start of the call and we will stop the recording or call you back on a standard line.

(c) Service providers

We share personal information with the companies that supply the infrastructure behind our work: website hosting, CRM and marketing automation, email delivery, call tracking, analytics, payment processing and IT support. They receive only what they need to perform the service we have contracted them for, they are bound by agreement to protect it, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

(d) Legal and law enforcement

We may disclose personal information to a government institution that has asserted its lawful authority to obtain it, where we have reasonable grounds to believe it could be useful in the investigation of unlawful activity, or to comply with a subpoena, warrant or court order.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not trade contact lists with other agencies or data brokers, and we do not pass your details to unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.

3. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

Our sites use cookies and similar technologies for three things: keeping the site working, understanding how it is used, and measuring our advertising. We run Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and we use advertising cookies from platforms including Google, YouTube, Microsoft and Meta so that we can show relevant ads and see which of them actually work.

You can control all of this. Most browsers accept cookies by default and let you block or delete them in settings, and you can adjust your advertising preferences directly with each platform through their own ad-settings and opt-out tools. Blocking cookies will not lock you out of our site, though a few conveniences will stop working.

4. Text Messaging (A2P 10DLC)

If you opt in to receive SMS from Purna Web, or you text one of the tracking numbers we manage, these terms apply.

Consent and opt-out

Messaging is opt-in. Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately, or HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

No third-party sharing

SMS consent and the phone numbers collected for text messaging will never be shared, sold or rented to third parties, partners or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances. Every other category of sharing described in this policy explicitly excludes text messaging opt-in data and consent. That information stays with us.

5. Staying in Control

You decide how much contact you have with us, and you can change that decision at any time.

Marketing opt-out

Tell us to use your contact details only for the specific service or information you asked for, and that is exactly what we will do.

Email unsubscribe

Every commercial email we send identifies us as the sender and carries a working unsubscribe link. One click and you are out.

Access and correction

On written request, and subject to the exceptions the law allows, we will tell you what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed, and we will give you access to it. If any of it is wrong, ask us and we will correct it. Send requests to info@purnaweb.ca.

Deletion

Ask us to delete your personal information and we will, except where we are required or permitted by law to keep it, or where we need it to complete a transaction or contract already underway.

6. Security, Storage and Retention

Your personal information is held in secured locations and on servers controlled by Purna Web or by our service providers, protected by physical, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to how sensitive it is. Access is limited to the people who need it to do their job. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we take the obligation seriously and review our safeguards as our systems change.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires or allows. After that, it is securely destroyed or de-identified.

7. Children’s Privacy

Purna Web markets to businesses. Our services and advertising are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone aged 13 or under. No one under 18 should submit personal information through our sites without the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Links to Other Sites

Our site links out to websites operated by other organisations. Once you follow one of those links, you have left our site and this policy no longer applies. We do not control those sites and cannot be responsible for their privacy practices or their content, so it is worth reading their policies before handing over any information.

9. Your Regional Privacy Rights

Canada (PIPEDA and provincial legislation)

This policy is written to comply with PIPEDA and with substantially similar provincial privacy legislation. You have the right to know why we collect your information, to give or withhold consent, to access what we hold and challenge its accuracy, and to challenge our compliance with these principles. Direct any such challenge to us first using the details below. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you may escalate to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

United States (CCPA / CPRA and other state laws)

If you are a resident of California, or of another US state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have the following rights over your personal information:

• Right to know and access. Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to delete. Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions such as completing a transaction you initiated.
• Right to correct. Request that we fix personal information that is inaccurate.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing. Purna Web does not sell your personal information for money. Our use of third-party advertising cookies may qualify as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law, and you can opt out through your browser settings, your platform ad preferences, or a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour.
• Right to non-discrimination. Exercise any of these rights and we will treat you exactly the same as anyone else. No degraded service, no different pricing.

International transfer

Purna Web is based in Orillia, Ontario. If you use our services from outside Canada, your personal information will be transferred to, processed and stored in Canada, and may be accessible to Canadian courts and law enforcement under Canadian law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update, modify or supplement this Privacy Policy from time to time as our services and the law evolve. The current version always lives on this page with its revision date at the top, so check back periodically. If we make a change that materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
